Create a Price Prediction Market

Navigate to [Gaming] > [Prediction] and click on "Create Prediction Market" button.

First select a market configuration from the list. Only a set of "safe to use" markets are allowed, using trusted price sources.

The form now appears fully, and the current price of the selected configuration is shown (11.92 USDC in the example below).

Create Price Prediction Market - target price

First you need to configure the target price of the market. The target price is the price on which to bet on (above or below).

Then, configure the timeline of the market:

• Start: date+time when bets start. A safety margin of 5 minutes may be added to prevent starting a market in the past.

• Settlement: date+time when market can be settled and final price is considered

• Freeze Period: period before settlement when bets are forbidden, preventing automatized last-second bets when the risk is low. A freeze period of 25% of total duration is advised.

Then, select the token and minimum amount allowed for bets.

Note that an amount of EGLD (here 5 EGLD) is required to create a price prediction market. This amount is kept while the market is on and is returned when the market is settled.

A transaction is broadcasted to the blockchain. When it is successful, you get redirected to the list of prediction markets. You may need to wait for 10-20 seconds before the market becomes available.
